Sen. McDonald said the money will pay for extended hours for Campus Escort.

After recent crime in the campus area, Campus Escort now operates until 3 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays.

The money will also pay for a late-night shuttle service, which will run on nights when there is late-night programming. The shuttle will run from the event location to residence halls.

A walking escort service is also given money.
